SAFEGUARDING REPORT
This research on Safeguarding Young People in Traditional Music is key to understanding the extent of inequalities and discrimination in our community, and to developing a way forward to a safer and more equitable scene for all.
WHAT WE DO
We host a range of events from panel discussions to industry presentations, gigs and community meet-ups. Topics have covered ethnic diversity in Scottish traditional music and queer voices in folk.
We conduct research on equity and inequality issues, facilitate co-learning sessions for the public and organisations, and create practical resources to support people to make change.
Through initiatives like Safe Space Folk, we provide confidential signposting and resources for individuals facing sexism, harassment, or abuse in the music industry.
